{Affordable} Fashion Inspiration.

Well kids, I'm backkkkkkkkkkkk!!

My little vaca in Phoenix was amazing.  BFF time, relaxing, shopping; I love being a tourist with no daily responsibilities except for worrying about where to eat next.  It was magnificent.

Hopefully within the week I'll share some photos from the trip.  I return to my glorious life of work, a paper, and a final.

So long suckas!

♫♫♫ I’m leavinnnnnnnn, on a jet plane……… don’t know when I’ll be back again... ♫♫♫

Actually, a more accurate statement would be, I’m leaving on a Airbus Industries A320 Jet and I’ll be back Monday night.   But that would have been no fun.

Plus, now everyone can have that song stuck in their heads; you’re welcome.

Yes, the time has come!  Tomorrow I make the 1495 mile trek down to Arizona.  I have only mentioned this trip onetwothree times, but eh.. who’s counting?

While I am super duper nervous to fly alone, I saw a statistic yesterday that mentioned more people die yearly from a donkey, than a plane crash. {watch your @$$ I guess...}

However, I then heard on the radio, that O’hare airport in Chicago has the most accidents every year, WHICH is where I am flying out of.

So that’s reassuring.

Well, while I’m gone rekindling my bond with my bff and recharging my batteries, it’s pretty safe to say, my husband will be doing this:

{Seriously, listen to it.  You'll die}

This is {one reason} why I LOVE Target.

My idol?

I may or may not have spent 45 minutes watching all her commercials on youtube, when I should have been writing my 8 page employment law paper...

Let's see... 2 paragraphs down, 7 1/2 more pages to go.

If anyone wants to offer guidance, it's on the Equal Pay Act of 1963.  :)

Why My Sunday Rocked...

#1.  Incase you weren't aware, THE Green Bay Packers are now 10-0.  That's right.  Undefeated.  Anddddd I'll also remind you that they were the Superbowl champs last year.  YUP!

{photo taken on our Hawaiian honeymoon, Feb. 2011}

#2.  I got to spend the entire day kissing up the cheeks of my 18 month old godchild since I won't see her for like 10 whole days.  It was great.  We cheered on The Pack together, even if it was on a pot.  Don't judge.

Friday Night = Pizza & Beer.

Besides TGIF, the universal symbol for Friday nights in our house is pizza and beer.

It used to be going out with our friends, having a good time, and not feeling so hot Saturday morning.

Now, I'm a 24 year old going on 72.

I'm usually exhausted after a long work week and school.  And lately, I've even been doing HOMEWORK on Friday nites, what the crap?!  Talk about a lame-o loser.

Anyhoo, back to the pizza and beer thing - the point of this post.
I made a killer homemade pizza last Friday, and you can too.

Here's what you'll need:

Pizza crust, pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings.  Easy peasy.

I happened to buy a pre-made pizza dough from our local grocery store.  Hey, this is better than I usually do.  Usually I buy the pre-made, pre-cooked crust that comes in the plastic bag.

So this time, I decided to be all "chef-like"-- I let the dough rise and rolled it out.

Yup, I'm bad @$$.

Then I slapped on a can of pizza sauce.

I browned some Italian sausage and only added mushrooms to half {for the hubs, I HATE mushrooms.}

Then I put roughly 10 lbs. of shredded mozz cheese on top, cuz you gotta cheese it up.

Lastly, I topped with Turkey pepperoni {Zac didn't even notice the difference!}

And baked that baby for 20 minutes @ 375*

Oh, I threw some Italian seasoning on top too.

Then I enjoyed with an ice cold beer.

{Don't look at my wardrobe attire please.  Our house is freezing in the winter time... I do what I gotta do to keep warm.}

What is it with pizza and beer?  It just goes together.
Like peanut butter & jelly.  Like oreo's & milk.  Like chips & salsa.  Like.... ok, you get the point.

Hubs thoroughly enjoyed it as well...

All in all, it was a superb Friday night.

Repeat tonight?  I think yes.

My FIRST Coach... let's take a moment.

This weekend, my usual shopping clan {my momma, sista, & niece} went to the Outlet Mall.

You know, to buy stuff for myself Christmas.

First stop, Coach Outlet.

*Cell phone photos, sorry
{If that isn't the best way to start out a Saturday morning, I don't know what is.}

Bought my very first Coach purse, all by myself.  Like a big girl.

While I usually won't pay over $20 for a purse, I made an exception.  The beauty I bought was 50% off and I had a 30% off coupon.  So basically, I got a $200 purse for $70.  How could I NOT purchase it?

I am 'saving' it for my Phoenix trip, so you're just gonna have to live in suspense until I share approximately 1,513,542 pictures from that trip.

Then, of course...

You gotta teachem' young!

Excellent little shopper she is... ok, these pants weren't on sale, but give her a break.  They were pretty and she can't read for gosh-sakes.

If there's one thing I teach this kid, it's that you NEVER buy something unless it's on sale.

Unless you neeeeed it, can't live without it type of thing.

Right?  Right.

New Book = Vacation is Near!

Just ordered a book from Barnes & Noble for my Thanksgiving trip to Phoenix.  {Read about that trip here.}

I settled on Thirteen Reasons Why as recommended by Hannah @ Coffee Books and Clothes.

After reading a summary on the book, and so many reviews describing it as ‘life-changing’, I figured it was a must read.

However, reflecting back on my choice,
I can just see I it now:

Here’s me, waiting at the airport in Chicago.  Sitting comfortably, taking up about 3 chairs too many with my legs sprawled out, waiting at my gate.

Fully engulfed in the book, I miss my connecting flight, never hearing the boarding announcement.

Tears are most likely streaming down my face {I’m such a sap you know...} and a pile of used tissues are on the floor.

About two hours later, I realize I missed my flight and throw a hissy fight, hating myself for being so irresponsible....

Let’s hope this isn’t the case :)

Heaven in your mouth bars.

For seriously.

Really, the best way I can describe these are heaven in your mouth bars.

And they are sooo simple to make.

I didn't want to make plain old brownies, but I didn't have much time either, so I threw this together.

All I did was take 1 tube of Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, flatten it out in a 9"x13" pan, and added a brownie mix on top {following the directions on the back of the brownie box}

I baked it for about 30 minutes @ 350* then added a caramel drizzle on top.

That's it.

So stinkin' yummy, and EASY!

Eat your heart out!
