Well people, this is as real as a tutorial gets. And by real, I mean scrappy, non-edited, make it work with what we've got, kind of tutorial.
Yeah, I know. We've all seen these...
I'm about a year too late. Nonetheless, I knew I {and when I say I, I mean mostly my hubby} could totally make this.
I did notice that a lot of the 'tutorials' I've seen about these, don't go into real detail on just how exactly they made it, or provide little pictures of the creation process.
No worries, I've got you covered.
Here's what you'll need:
1. A hubby, boyfriend, dad, uncle, son, etc... to work with the power tool {or if you can yourself without losing a finger, my hat goes off to you!}
2. A mason jar with a lid
3. An old soap dispenser *I did not end up using the one pictured
4. A tape measurer or ruler
5. A marker
6. A drill and a drill bit the size of the plastic part that goes around the spring on the pump {I know, I'm really good at describing things that I don't know the name of... sorry!}
7. A file {in my picture, it's that long skinny rod thing and that black sand paper looking thing.}
8. Spray paint, if you wish.
First, measure out the center of your lid.
Then, drill the hole.
Next, file down the sharp edges.
After that, make sure your pump fits snugly.
This is hubby's 'work bench' a.k.a. the tail gate of his truck. We keep things real classy around these parts.
Now, you're ready to spray paint the lid!
Oh but first you'll get yelled at by said hubby, because you're not doing it on the grass. So move to the grass.
Then hubby just does it for you :)
Fill your jar with soap and that baby is ready to be used!
Linking with these fun ladies!
